Morocco Wall Art

Morocco Wall Art

Morocco wall art here pairs Moroccan places with desert scenes: the Hassan Ii Mosque in Casablanca, Skala Du Port in Essaouira, the Merzouga dunes, a topographic map and the flag, alongside many Sahara camel caravan pieces. You choose a piece by the wall it will hang on, and each one is printed after you order.

Morocco Wall Art For A Living Room Wall

A living room wall above the sofa is the easiest place to start, because the furniture gives you a width to match. Over a 72 inch sofa, a 48 x 32 inch landscape piece such as Hassan Ii Mosque at Sunset, Casablanca covers about two thirds of the width. Leave the rest of the wall plain so one Moroccan scene carries the room.

Casablanca And Essaouira As Place Pieces

If you want a specific Moroccan city on the wall, two pieces name theirs: Hassan Ii Mosque at Sunset, Casablanca and Skala Du Port, Essaouira, which is titled for the port of that town. Above a 48 inch console in a hallway, Skala Du Port in a 36 x 24 inch size spans three quarters of the width. For other mosque pieces, see the mosque wall art collection.

Merzouga And Golden Sahara Dunes For Open Walls

Dune pieces suit a long, open wall. Merzouga Sand Dunes is a panoramic piece, and over a 70 inch sofa a 48 x 16 inch size lands at about 69 percent of the width. Golden Sahara Dunes and Morocco Stone Desert add more desert scenes for a bedroom or study, where a narrower wall asks for something smaller.

Camel Caravans Without A Moroccan Place Name

Many caravan pieces here name the Sahara, the desert or no place at all rather than Morocco, so look at the title when place matters to you. Morocco Sahara Caravan is the caravan piece whose title includes the country. Sunlit Sahara Dunes with Camel Caravan, Desert Camel Caravan in Golden Dunes and Camel Caravan Silhouette at Golden Sunset give you caravan scenes when the country is not the point, and the product page shows which shapes each one comes in.

The Morocco Flag And The Topographic Map

Two pieces carry no scenery at all. Morocco Flag with Five-pointed Star is the national flag, and Morocco Topographic Map is a topographic map of the country. Both suit a study, a home office or a hallway where you want a clear nod to the country. For other flags and other country maps, browse country flag wall art and city and country map art.

What Sits Well Beside Morocco Wall Art

If you hang two pieces together, keep them to the same subject, two desert scenes for example, rather than a flag next to a dune. Matching subjects give the wall one idea, and a plain stretch of wall around them keeps the group easy to take in.

Where To Hang A Moroccan Piece

Hang a piece with its center 57 to 60 inches from the floor on an open wall. Over a sofa, sideboard or console, leave 6 to 8 inches between the furniture and the bottom edge so the furniture and the piece hang as one group. A good rule is to pick a piece about two thirds to three quarters as wide as the furniture beneath it.

More Desert And African Wall Art

The caravan and dune pieces belong to a wider family of desert scenes. For dunes and canyons from other parts of the world, see the desert landscape wall art collection. For savanna sunsets and country maps from across the continent, the Africa wall art collection goes further afield.

How Each Piece Is Made

Nothing here sits in a warehouse waiting: your piece is printed after you order. Canvas prints use museum-quality canvas and archival inks over a solid wooden inner frame, so canvas and framed pieces arrive ready to hang. Shipping is free, delivery takes 8 to 10 business days from the day you order, and returns run 30 days from delivery.

Common Questions

What are some decorating ideas for Moroccan style?

Start with the subject you want to live with, a desert caravan, a dune, a city view or the flag, and let that choose the piece. Hang one large picture on an open wall, or two matching pictures side by side with a few inches between them. Keep the wall around them plain so the picture stays the focus.

How large can large Moroccan wall art go?

The largest landscape size in this collection is 60 x 40 inches, which suits a wide living room wall above a long sofa or sideboard. Panoramic pieces go up to 60 x 20 inches for a long, low wall, and square pieces go up to 48 x 48 inches. Each size and its price appear on the product page.

Is there Moroccan wall art for a bedroom?

Yes. The desert and dune scenes are the ones to look at for a bedroom, and the product page lists every size for each piece. Choose a width that fits the wall above a headboard or dresser, and go smaller where the wall is narrow. The flag and the map are better kept for a study or a hallway.

Are these Moroccan wall hangings, tapestries or metal art?

No. Everything in this collection is a printed picture, so there are no woven tapestries, carved wood reliefs or metal pieces. The pictures are place and desert scenes, a flag and a map. If you search for wall hangings, expect a flat printed image that hangs like any other framed or canvas picture.

Does Moroccan wall art come in a small size?

Yes. The smallest landscape size is 12 x 8 inches and the smallest square size is 8 x 8 inches, which fit a shelf, a narrow stretch of wall or a desk area. Panoramic pieces start at 24 x 8 inches. Every size and its price appear on the product page for the piece you choose.
