About this piece
This portrait-format study centers on a domed cathedral and a narrow old city street, rendered with palette knife strokes and heavy impasto texture. Blues and deep blacks sit alongside warm yellows, flashes of red and white, producing a dramatic, bright, moody scene that balances architectural clarity with abstract layering.
The vertical composition and tactile surface make this piece a strong focal point for a living room, office, study, or hallway. Its blend of impressionist handling and clear arches and dome details offers visual energy and conversation value while maintaining an urban, atmospheric presence.
- Centered vertical composition featuring a domed cathedral and arched façades
- Palette knife, impressionist technique with pronounced impasto texture
- Color play of blue, yellow, red, black, and white
- Dramatic, bright, moody architectural mood
- Fits Living Room, Office, Study, or Hallway as a focal point
