About this piece
Kucherlinskoe Lake in the Altai Mountains appears in this serene, majestic landscape. A turquoise, glacier-fed lake and winding river pull the eye into the center of the frame between two mountain slopes. Partially forested conifer slopes contrast with slate gray rocky peaks, and a small bridge in the foreground provides scale and a rustic focal point.
The crisp palette of turquoise, forest green, slate gray, sky blue and white creates a tranquil, calming atmosphere. Strong leading lines and clear depth make this piece a confident focal point for a living room, study, or bedroom, appealing to anyone drawn to alpine lake scenes from Ust-Koksinsky District, Russia.
